ID - WHI Participant Common ID Col 1
PPTDRW - Participant Draw Number Col 2 ID and PPTDRW identify a specimen draw. Usage Notes: Use ID and PPTDRW to merge with the specimen draws file (spec_draws) or the specimen results file (spec_results).
PROCPROT - Processing Protocol Col 3 The study that performed the specimen draw. Usage Notes: See the Data Prep document for information on specimen processing for each protocol.
DRAWDY - Draw Days since randomization/enrollment Col 4 Number of days from randomization/enrollment to date of specimen draw.
DRAWVTYP - Visit Type Col 5
DRAWVY - Specimen Draw Visit Year Col 6 Visit year for which this specimen was collected.
DRAWMONTH - Draw Month Col 7 Month in which specimen was drawn/collected.
DRAWTIME - Draw time Col 8 Time specimen was drawn in military time. Format HH24:MI (e.g. 13:20).
CFUGTIME - Centrifuge time Col 9 Time that centrifuging of specimen began in military time. Format HH24:MI (e.g. 13:20). Usage Notes: Variable specific to only the WHI Processing Protocol, see variable PROCPROT.
VIALTIME - Cryovial time Col 10 Time specimen placed into cryovials in military time. Format HH24:MI (e.g. 13:20). Usage Notes: Variable specific to only the WHI Processing Protocol, see variable PROCPROT.
FREZTIME - Freeze time Col 11 Time cryovials placed in freezer in military time. Format HH24:MI (e.g. 13:20).
FASTHRS - Fasting hours Col 12 Number of hours since had anything to eat or drink besides water before specimen draw.
VIGACT - Vigorous activity in last 8 hours Col 13 Engaged in vigorous physical activity in last eight hours before specimen draw. Usage Notes: Variable specific to only the WHI Processing Protocol, see variable PROCPROT.
ANTIINFL - Anti-inflammatory use in last 48 hrs Col 14 Took aspirin or anti-inflammatory agents in last 48 hours before specimen draw. Usage Notes: Variable specific to only the WHI Processing Protocol, see variable PROCPROT.
LIPEMIC - Serum is lipemic Col 15 For HT and HT + DM screening visit and annual visits. Serum is lipemic. Usage Notes: Variable specific to only the WHI Processing Protocol, see variable PROCPROT.

The WHI Long Life Study 2 (WHILLS2) visits for 2000 LILAC participants were funded by LILAC; access to the WHILLS2 Form 301 and biospecimen data for these participants currently requires approval from the LILAC PIs. WHILLS2 Form 301 and biospecimen data for the 3905 WHILLS2 visits not funded by LILAC is available through the WHI data repository. To request approval for access to WHILLS2 F301 and/or biospecimen data for the additional 2000 LILAC-funded participants, please contact the WHI Help Desk (helpdesk@whi.org) with your specific request.
