WHI bids a fond farewell to Nancy Morris, who is retiring in January after two decades of support to the study. Nancy, who has a business background, joined government service for the great health benefits and luckily found her way to the WHI, where she served as a program analyst at the Women's Health Initiative branch of NHLBI. In fact, Nancy was the very first employee to be hired by WHI. Nancy and her husband Rick are building a house in North Carolina where they will enjoy their retirement together. She is an avid golfer and completed her first marathon at age 50, finishing in less than five hours. On behalf of the WHI investigators, we want to thank Nancy for all of her efforts and we wish her the best.
