On Monday, June 23rd, the LILAC study was officially launched at the Regional Centers (RCs)! The launch included a newly designed database interface known as the LILAC Dashboard. Much like a car dashboard, multiple tasks, from central abstraction to local medical record requesting to forms data entry, can all be done from this one location. RCs are now requesting medical records for treatment and recurrence for WHI confirmed breast and lung cancers, two of the eight cancer sites LILAC is following. The Clinical Coordinating Center (CCC) is working to finalize forms and complete abstraction training for the remaining six cancer sites: endometrium, ovary, colorectum, melanoma, leukemia, and lymphoma. We will systematically roll out the remaining six sites over the next several months.
Congratulations to Victor Ocampo and Deanna Georgenes of the Boston RC who successfully investigated and scanned the first LILAC case to the CCC in under one week! Well done!!
Thank you to everyone who has contributed and made this launch a huge success!
