Wheels of whimsy
About a year after I joined the WHI I was informed I had a lump in my left breast. Inside of two weeks I had a biopsy and a mastectomy. One of the things he told me just confirmed what part of your study found. The most common kind of breast cancer feeds on Estrogen. His recommendation was to quit taking it. Which I did. Now five years later I can truly say "I am a survivor!" Now if they can just find a cure for the liver cancer my grand-daughter has. It's rare and painful and no cure so far. I can truly say I think the WHI is doing a great job. My eldest grand-daughter just had a hysterectomy. They left her ovaries because she wouldn't need estrogen, plus they were healthy. I guess that is proof the medical people are also taking it seriously. I learned to sew on my mother's old tredle machine, but didn't start making quilts until my children were in their teens. I mae3 q baby quilt in the pattern I sent to you. IT was called "Wheel of Whimsy." I want you to know I feel honored to be a small part of your group.
