This square is in memory of my mother, Hildur, born in the late 1800's, who suffered from ailments for which in her day, doctors had few solutions.

I, my daughters and granddaughters surround her with a potentially healthier and stronger future thanks to medical advancements.

I feel the WHI concept of a large study specifically devoted to women's health issues has been long overdue. It is for this reason I was eager to participate in the WHI here in Chicago.

The quilt square itself is made up of fabric scraps saved from sewing for my girls over the years.

Sincerely,
JM
