In 1996 our daughter called and told me about an article in the Wall Street Journal and thought I would be interested in the WHI study. The article told about an ongoing study about loss of memory and onset of dementia. At the time, my mother resided in a nursing home and had dementia. I am very committed to this study because of my mother who passed away last year.
My quilt square represents my mother in the print fabric, my daughters in the red fabric and my granddaughters in the pink fabric and my heart is red and white and linked to all of them. I am in the study for them and have enjoyed all of the participation. I feel honored to be in the study.
