My quilt block was created to represent the success or lack thereof that I have experienced in adhering to the program since I have been involved in this study with the WHI.
Initially, I did reasonably well, leveled off, slipped, had another peak and then did really poorly. I then came back to a degree, leveled off at a level lower than my initial peak. At this point I basically gave up, but am a better level than when I began.
I have developed some better eating habits which include less fat and more fruits and vegetables. I eat less red meat and much more fish. I try to eat really balanced meals.
Unfortunately, some physical problems as well as adjusting to retirement have made me less inclined to adhere to the prescribed routine.
