I am sending you my quilt square which I told you my daughter would make for me. I am very pleased with it and hope it fits in well with the other quilt squares. I am also enclosing a picture of our fiftieth anniversary quilt that I told you she made for us. It was all family history pictures. It hangs on my living room wall.

My mother, RL is a participant in the WHI study, but I asked her if I could help make this quilt square for her. I think the star in the center symbolized the effort that she is making to do something that will benefit all the women around her - her sisters, daughters, daughter-in-law, granddaughters, great-granddaughter, nieces and also her many friends. We all truly admire and appreciate her heroic effort on our behalf.
