Ladies,
Here is my first - ever square (and it looks it) for the quilt, though I have made a quilt incorporating appliquéd shapes of my own bottles on a plain background. Effective, but not squares. My "short paragraph" would have to be:
I was a widow living in Chicago for many years and did a lot of volunteering. Such as: Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago; reading for the blind for CRIS Radio; and reading to a legally blind girl for 21 years.
In 1993 I remarried and moved to a suburb and no longer had the time for routine volunteering. Somehow WHI contacted me and I discovered a way to be needed without expending a lot of time.
The square I am submitting was made entirely from my scrap box of materials.
I am pleased to help WHI and everyone there has been lovely to me. Thank you for all you do!
