Rita's Garden honors Rita. Rita was a teacher by professions, but she was much more than that. She was a mentor to many, a bible scholar and study leader, an artist, a singer, a quilter, and a very good friend to all those who knew and loved her. Rita was a loyal, supportive wife to her pastor husband, and was his partner in ministry. Rita suffered from breast cancer. She fought valiantly without complaint and maintained a positive outlook throughout her illness. Rita's Lord and Savior called her to be with him in January 2002.
Lovely, dedicated women like Rita are why I participate in the Women's Health Initiative Study.
