I’m part of WHI because of all the strong women in my family - all those who preceded me and also those who have followed me. They have given to their community and the world, so that others my live a better, healthier life. From my grandmother who was a midwife and a town’s only medical caregiver at the beginning of the 20th century, to my youngest daughter, now a thriving young lady, who was a liver transplant recipient 25 years ago. Working with WHI for the past seven years has been my chance to give, to help gather the medical knowledge that will improve life for both of my wonderful daughters and for all daughters of generations yet to come.
